X-rays, visual examination and numerous other tests will be used to diagnose dental decay and other oral diseases and concerns.

We are proud to utilize the latest digital x-ray technology to ensure the best quality x-rays for the early detection of dental disease with reduced exposure for our patients. Digital intraoral cameras are also utilized to show you and your insurance company exactly what we're seeing in your mouth.

Our dentist will make an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan with different treatment options to suit your needs and budget. In complex cases, more comprehensive records may be required, as well as a separate consultation appointment to thoroughly explain all treatment options and answer all your questions.
DENTAL HYGIENE SERVICES
Our dental hygienists will ensure that your gums and teeth stay healthy with regular dental cleanings every 3 - 6 months. Your personalized dental care plan would include removal of bacterial plaque and calculus (or tartar), removal of stain, assessment of bone and gum health and education on current home care tools and techniques that would best suit your mouth! We also provide smoking cessation advice, nutritional counselling and oral cancer screenings for all patients as needed.
DENTAL FILLINGS
Dr. Adeel utilizes the newest products available to give you a comfortable and aesthetic filling.
INVISALIGN TREATMENT
Dr. Adeel provides Invisalign for minor tooth realignment.
CROWNS & BRIDGEWORK
Mountainview Dental is proud to utilize Itero scanning technology to give you a perfectly fitting crown or bridge. We offer many different materials including, but not limited to full porcelain, porcelain fused to metal and full gold.
ROOT CANALS
Root canals are recommended to relieve pain and eliminate dental infection as a better option than tooth removal.
EXTRACTIONS
Dr. Adeel is very experienced with extractions, including the removal of wisdom teeth.
SPORTSGUARDS
According to the Canadian Dental Association, sports guards are recommended for the following sports: acrobats, basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, racquetball, roller hockey, rugby, shot putting, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, soccer, squash, surfing, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting and wrestling (during all practices and competitions).
We can provide the athlete in your family with a custom-made sports guard that is comfortable, durable and does not restrict speech or breathing.
NIGHTGUARDS
Nightguards are custom-designed guards similar to sports guards that patients wear at night to prevent excessive tooth wear or cracking and sensitivity from grinding while sleeping. Most of us do it but few of us know it until a dental professional identifies signs of excessive wear on your teeth.
SNORING APPLIANCES
Dr. Adeel works hand-in-hand with a local sleep clinic to assess and treat your sleep disturbance. Oral appliances favourably position the tongue and lower jaw to open the airway during sleep which helps to reduce snoring and the effects of obstructive sleep apnea.
DENTAL SEDATION (NITROUS OXIDE)
The team at Mountainview Dental recognizes that many people are anxious about dental treatment. To ensure that even these patients have a comfortable experience, Dr. Adeel offers conscious sedation using nitrous oxide (laughing gas). This type of sedation allows you to be awake during the procedure but help you relax.
TEETH WHITENING
Mountainview Dental offers an in-office whitening system called Zoom Whitening, to give you a brilliant white smile when you leave our office. An alternative home whitening system called NiteWhite is also available through our office. It features a custom-made tray that effectively holds the gel on your teeth without a messy spill-over of the gel that you can apply as needed in the comfort of your own home. Replacement gel is always available when you run out!
REFERRALS
We pride ourselves at Mountainview Dental Clinic on providing dental care for our patients and sometimes that means referring you to a specialist. When your treatment is more complicated, we will be happy to refer you to one of the many dental specialists whom we know will provide you with top-level care. We coordinate treatment for our patients with dental specialists on a daily basis.
